Subject:more XK-1
I played my first job with the XK-1 last weekend. I had programmed the Leslie Sim to the point that I really liked it, so I just played through my mono Fender KXR-200 keyboard amp. Well, it didn't sound so great at slow speed. The Electro 73 sounds great with that amp and its Leslie Sim, but the XK-1 didn't. I tended to add C/V when using the slow speed which made it sound 100x better. But, here's the good news! Last night, for the first time, I played the XK-1 through my Pro3T and LowPro. Holy smokes - it sounded beyond description! I sat down to play a few minutes and I was there for at least an hour. It sounded so great. I haven't played a 'real' Hammond and Leslie in years, but this experience was just like I remembered it. It was truly gorgeous! I can't wait to get my hands on it again!
