Subject:Re: Old (analog) CX-3 vs. Voce MicroB, and old clones

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions from everyone. Much
appreciated.

To address a few things - one of the big problems is being situated
in Australia. The costs of things here are really inflated compared
to the prices in the states, and shipping costs make it difficult to
buy elsewhere.

I play the newer digital CX-3 myself, which I was lucky enough to
buy from overseas on a trip. It's not really affordable here just
yet. It kills me when I see the prices of things over in the states
and elsewhere in the world :)

I guess my original question was hoping to get some first hand
comments on just how the old analog CX-3 compared. Alot of people
still rave about it being a good rock organ for background chords
and smears, but i'm wondering how it'd sound for solos and blues &
jazz. Does anyone have any samples and recordings?

Is the old CX-3 inferior to the Voce modules (even the older MicroB
ones) and the E-mu B3 (which is sample based AFAIK.. so thats kinda
surprising).
