Subject:Re: HALF-MOON SWITCH FOR CLONES
Bruce and organtec brought up something interesting. I don't know if
this applies to all clones but from what I've learned on the Roland and
even the Pro-145, when you turn on the brake, the rotors don't coast
like they would on the single speed or on a 2-speed with the slow plugs
disconnected. I like that coasting effect on a leslie, so I was
disappointed that this wasn't recreated on the VK-8 and the Pro-145.
Anyway, I love my half-moon switch. I decided to keep it real and buy
the 2 position switch. I generally don't switch presets in the middle of
a song so that has never been an issue for me. When I do switch presets
though, I just make sure the switch is set on chorale since all my
presets are saved in chorale mode.
