Subject: [CWSG] Overdrive/Dist. before or after the lesliesimulation ?

Hi everyone!

I love the Hammondsound but have no actual Hammond experience.

As far as I know when it comes to a a B3/122 or similar combination,
is that the OD/Dist occurs in the tubepreamp in (before) the Leslie.

When it comes to clones i.e an Electro or a VK-8 etc, and you want
use the internal Lesliesimulator, but with an external tubepreamp for
that extra vibe, then the OD/Dist will happen after the Lesliesim.

How does this affect the overall sound and authentic organsound?
What´s the difference between before/after. Does it matter ?

I´m trying to figure out a setup which would give me a great bang for
the buck.

Been thinking of V5,VK-8m - tubepreamp - Boss Rt-20/CLS-222

What are your opinions about these things ?

Any suggestions?

Best Regards

Attila
