Glad you like your VR760, I've had mine for about 18 months or maybe even
two years and its great. This is a very much maligned organ/piano/synth.
The organ is great the piano is OK but add a little of the electric grand
from the srx07 card and it sparkles and the rest of the sounds on the srx07
are pretty good too. I've installed the latest srx011 piano card and
although its pretty good its not good enough for me to stop using the
on-board piano+srx07 electric grand combination.
this keyboard is going to become a collectors item..

Took delivery of my new Roland VR-760 last Friday and gigged with it
Saturday night. Thanks to all who contacted me to try to help me find it.
I am absolutely dee-lighted with this keyboard - my first clonewheel.
It sounds fantastic and feels smooth as buttah - scary close to my '55
M-3. Played 4 sets and not one cut or scrape on my palms!
And my set-up has never been simpler. The output is hot enough to run
directly into my EON 15s without a mixer. (Hooray for the balanced XLR
outs! Hooray for the on-board 3 band EQ!) I use my trusty Doepfer PK88
controller to play the piano & EPs. (Just ordered a MidiSolutions
Velocity Converter to tame the PK88 - its one and only velocity curve
is a little too strong for the Roland) And that's it! No rack, No
mixer. Just two 'boards, two powered speakers, two XLR cables, two
sweep pedals and one sustain pedal.
I've been shadowing this forum for a couple of months while I made up
my mind which clonewheel to buy - lots of great info from lots of very
knowledgeable folks. Now that I actually own one, I'm glad to be a
"fully qualified" member. Thanks again to all who helped me out with
the decision and finding the recently-discontinued keyboard.
