Subject:Re: Nord Electro as a controller

Hi,

The Nord Electro has some significant limitations when used as a MIDI master controller, beyond its lack of Pitch and Mod wheels. Specifically, the knobs and switches have fixed controller (CC) locations, which CANNOT be changed. For things like the Mod Wheel and Volume, that's probably not an issue; but if you want to control the envelope of a synth or something, you're going to find that you must use a non-obvious control to make the change, or need some extra gear like a MIDI mapper to change the CC# to match the function you need.

Regards,

-BW
