If you don't use the send, just the return, both instruments are
mixed in the XK-3. The XK-3's reverb, Leslie and volume affect both
instruments. If you send the XK-3's signal through an effect, you
might have to use a mixer to combine the two pre/post effect. A small
resistance mixer works. I've tried using just a Y cord but this seems
to reduce the XK-3's send volume. I'm not sure why. Maybe some kind
of impedance issue.
