Subject:Re: bass amps for keyboards?

I played my Farfisa Combo Compact through a Fender Bassman with a single
Showman bottom, and eventually also through a '68 Standel Super Imperial
XV bass amp. However, I located a Leslie speaker at a local furniture
store and then I miced the Leslie through the Standell. It was a very
powerful combination, as the people in the crowd would attest to. Often
times they had their hands to their ears! Standel bass amps were
immensely powerful, as long as they would work. They (Standel) were
rather secretive about their preamps, which were set in little plastic
boxes poured full of epoxy. Thank you Frank Garlock!!
