I tried one out with an Electro 73 at Guitar Center last week. I had seen
Groove Tube ads for this amp but never was able to find one so I was
curious. I only spent about 15 minutes with it in a noisy store environment
but my impression was that is did create somewhat of a stereo effect when
the Leslie was active. The Hammond sounds I found to be pleasant. The
"stereo" seemed to have little or no effect on the acoustic piano (I don't
know what piano was loaded, but the Electro was running v2.1) and lacked low
and high end. With the amp volume and the volume on the Electro turned full
on I would say the amp was not very loud. It was smaller than I though which
is a good thing and seemed well constructed and weighs 35 lbs.. Probably
OK for home and perhaps as a personal stage monitor but at $500 dollars I'm
not sure it's really competitive given the limited volume and sound quality.
