Subject:Tweaking the drawbar volume levels of the old analog Korg CX-3 .

Hi Denny.
I used to own an analog Korg CX-3 many years ago .
Inside the organ there are individual volume control pots for each of
the nine drawbar amplifier circuits so therefore you can unscrew and
then lift out the outer wood case and then you can access the volume
controls for each drawbar preamp. If I remember correctly these drawbar
preamps were in front of as well as parly under the keyboard and they
were covered with carboard with a metal foil grounding shield on one
side.

You can set the volume levels of each drawbar preamp to taste via the
little white plastic potentiometers for each drawbar preamp whilst
playing the organ.Lowering the volume level of the second drawbar
should help you to lessen the shrillness .

One reason why the Korg CX-3 might approximate the sound of the Hammond
Model A organ is because the earlier Model A ( as well as the earlier
Model BC organs, the R-100 series and also the spinet organs ) did not
have the manual tapering scheme and neither does the old analog Korg
CX3.
All the best.
