Yeah. They may have gotten the "message" from Speakeasy regarding what we
really want: A high-quality SMALL box with power. However, it looks as if
they are using a solid state amp and a tube preamp for their 300W Road
Leslie. I would be curious to hear how that sounds (hopefully not like their
tube preamp in the XK3).

On another topic, I was recording last weekend with my Speakeasy/Leslie 2101
and the engineer stops us because he heard some "Cracking" from the Leslie.
Well, I blasted several runs through it solo at unbelievable volume and
heard nothing. The point being that with the Speakeasy that 2101 bugger is
LOUD! Everyone was blown away. The cracking turned out to be a bad
microphone cable.

Has anyone seen the most recent issue of Keyboard
Magazine? Hammond has a big spread - TWO full page ads
(that must've cost a bundle!), reviews, and an
interview with Joey DeFrancesco.

One of the full page ads states something like: Why
buy a clone when you can own a real Hammond? I didn't
know Hammond was making tonewheels again!! (smile!)
They just don't get it. They are a clone company too!

The other ad shows their new Leslies. Interesting
developments here. Looks like they're doing away with
the 812/814 leslies and opting for a small
multi-channel box that sits on top of the leslies.
