Subject:Re: Decision suggestions needed
My 2 cents would be-
Sell your XB-2, and get an XK-3 with a Speakeasy preamp to run to your 760. Or go really nuts, sell your 760 and get a Leslie 145 or the New Speakeasy Roadbox III. I currently run my XK-3 through a Speakeasy pre to a Leslie 145. I can't afford a Roadbox III right now. What kind of music do mainly play?

I have an original XB-2 which has not been used much. It hasn't had the
version 2(?)firmware upgrade, which would cost me around $235 from
Suzuki-Hammond.
I'm wondering if the upgrade is practical, or whether the XB-2 isn't
worth it, and it would make better sense to replace it. What would it
be worth today? What would make a logical replacement? I have a stock
Leslie 760 for the XB-2, or whatever I wind up with.
Also, i hear a guy who plays some kind of old, beaten-up Korg B3 clone
that has a sound to die for, growly lows, in-your-face percussion,
really cool. Anybody's guess what model that was? He plays it through a
Leslie 910, with replaced tricked-out amps. This guy knows what he's
doing - that I know.
Thanks,
