Both are really excellent organs, but the new Porta B is (IMHO) a real Hammond type organ instrument. The XK3 (even as part of the XK3 System) is a clone wheel organ which is (to me) more of a synthesizer type instrument, even if the sound is identical. I have an XK1 and truly love the sound (which is the real Hammond Organ sound), and playing it is really a rush, but it is like the rush of playing an awesome vintage combo organ like a Vox Continental. I can imagine sitting behind the new Porta B would be the same kind of rush as sitting behind a vintage B3.
