I've had the same sort of problem with different reasons ..... best thing to
do is just take it out ... clean it and oil it .... then check the rubber
ring on the fast motor and make sure it isnt flattened ... it is easy to
replace if it is .... then check the alignment of the slow motors shaft with
the ring .... sometimes when it tries to go to the fast motor the slow motor
gets stuck on the ring .... hopefully it is something that simple.
If not ...then start looking at whatever you use for a preamp and switch.
Hope it helps .... just my ritual when all that starts happnin' .... then I
call my hammond tech.

Subject: [CWSG] Leslie Ailment
I've got on old 145. I've noticed in the past that when I first
switched it on, the top rotor ran about half speed for awhile, then
eventually "kicked in" to full speed fast. Lately, I'm waiting but it
never gets past half speed. If it does, the minute I switch it on slow,
then back to fast.......half speed again.
Sounds more electrical than mechanical due to sporadicness, but has
anyone experienced this or have any suggestions?
Thanks
