Subject:KT 80s on speaker stands

Hi, all. Just wanted to post a little mod I made recently. My
singer songwriter girlfriend asked me to do the sound for
a small gig she was doing, and I thought, hmmm, why not
use my 2 KT80s? So I put them up on chairs on either side
of the stage, ran them from a small Behringer mixer with
a mic and her guitar plugged in. and presto, a really fine
sounding little PA.

Later, I thought, Hmmm, I could put these up on my speaker
stands with a little work, so I got two OnStage 35mm sockets
(I think they're called steel cups) from Sweetwater (about $4
each) and in about an hour I had them both installed. I'm not
much of a carpenter but with a little care I had them in and
it looked like a factory install. Now I can put my amps up like
PA speakers when I need to...it's a very sweet option.

I'm posting pictures in the photos section with the same name
