Subject:RE: Need help finding a good preamp

There are people who are very comfortable on the phone, very good at what
they do but don't feel as comfortable with email. I can't speak for Steve,
but everytime I've asked him a question via email, his response is "call
me".

I think it's just a matter of style/preference, and nothing more.

Having purchased a preamp used from someone else, I was quite surprised when
he brought my model up to spec with recent models for very little cost -
essentially, just shipping. I can't imagine Steve pressuring anyone, but you
will probably find you know more than you did before you made the call.

I think the other thing that be important is to get an understanding of what
your needs are and setting your expectations correctly.

Again, I can't possibly speak for Steve, but these are my observations over
the years.
