If using a V5 or maybe vk8, a single channel 1/3 octave eq may help
you fine-tune the tonewheel module (the B3 itself has a tone-control--
more of a LPF), I would put this before the preamp chain.... why-- if
you have a gentle slope to knock down some of the highs, while still
maintaining brilliance, you may get a more pleasing overdriven growl
out of your preamp/amp (i.e. speakeasy). you may have a hard time,
putting it in after the preamp chain, if oyu have to deal with
conversion from 1/4" --> 6 pin/ 11 pin etc...
Matter of taste, try it out and let your ears tell you what's what.
