Subject:Re: Voce Spin II - What does it "really" sound like?
I brought this issue up a few years back regarding the SpinII I
briefly owned one, it sounded just like the Purgetory Creek mp3. It
was very ranchy and phasey, sounded very very bad... also like the
old B3-shootout samples as well. I don't know how the Voce demos
sound so smooth, because the audio characteristics b/w the Voce demos
and the other demos including the SpinII I had were 2 completely
different sounds.
I searched my archives for my initial audio tests of the unit to
check it out again, but haven't been able to locate it.
My opinion, there are many many better leslie sims than the Spin II,
BUT I will say that Voce's V5+ is an AWESOME tonewheel module-- check
out the video and audio from DiversiOrgan.com Take the B3 Challenge,
and try to differentiate the V5 vs. B3 played thru a 122.
