Subject:Re: Soft Synths and Samplers
If you really want a well built "true" controller that will stand the test of time, check out a Roland A90. They've been relegated to no production status by Roland. With 4 Midi-ins and outs, they are perfect for using with modules or racks. It also has a superb action to the manual. Also, I've seen 2 for under a $1,000, one for $500 a couple of months back on Craigs List (San Diego).
My 2 cents,

Guys,
Thank so much for bringing up this subject and the thorough discussion that
is going on. I am at the same place as many of you seem to be: Wanting more
keys but not wanting (Well REALLY wanting) more keyboards, but I cant afford
to buy and haul so many individual keyboards around.
My question to add to this discussion is what controllers do you use? Do
you use existing keyboards? Normally i gig with my Roland V-Combo and my
Roland RD300sx stage piano. Would I use those to control my soft synths? Or go
for a dedicated remote controller?
