Subject:OT Guitar Center speaker racks?

This subject came up a long time back, per G.C. having the racks of
small speakers spaced every so many inches/feet that made 'anything'
you were A/B'ing, Roland, Electro, Hammond Suzuki, etc ..sound great
in your face - so you almost needed to bring some good earphones to
get the best idea. I have a need for some small speakers like that =
does anyone recall the system and know the brand, i.e., speakers
especially and or amp that was made to go with them? How'd they do
that?
