Subject:Introduction

Hi, Gang!

My name is Eric Allen, and I live in a little town in northern MN.

I recently received a free :-) 1959 C3 from a friend of mine. The price was
certainly right, but of course, I was bummed out to find that this model
doesn't have, nor apparently will it support a Leslie cab. I'm still not
complaining, as it was free to me!

I'm excited to work with this marvelous piece of technology further, and to
try to work out some of the bugs inherent in a 47-year-old piece of gear.

A couple of things that stand out right now include the fact that the
"percussion" rocker switches seem to have little or no effect on the sound;
a couple of the keys don't sound the full spectrum of the drawbars (dirty
contacts, I'm sure); and on e of the drawbar banks only has 3 operable
sliders -- the rest mak no sound whatsoever (dirty pots again, I'm sure).

Other than that, this thing is absolutely gorgeous!

Oh yeah -- one other thing -- can one get replacement speakers (easily,
cheaply) for this cab? I seem to recall it being a 65-watter, but obviously
don't have it in front of me right now. I fear the woofer is a bit cracked
on it.

Looking forward to doing the conversational thing with you guys!
