I had/have a somewhat similar problem. My Exp pedal, volume, and Leslie contols/functions became inoperative. Check back a day or so in the posts for details. (allen renles) Name has been changed to protect the guilty. Anyway: If you have access to a manual, do the full default and hope for the best. Mine is enroute to Hammond for repairs. While they're super helpful, and offer 24 hour tun-around as policy, when possible, I asked them to let it cook for a day to make sure all is well after it's fixed. Try the factory default thing, but bear in mind you'll loose any user settings. If you don't have a manual, get back to me and I'll give you the details. (thestudio@epix.net) Or check for a PDF.

RE: B, C, or whatever. Same animal. Only different. EVERY hammond sounds different. Lucky to have owned more than a couple consoles, and as many spinets.

Also had the good fortune to learn what little I know from a guy who trained at the Hammond factory in 1947. He took me under his wing in 1965. According to "Bud", Mr. Hammond used to wander around a test jig loaded with many, many, many tone generators that were in the process of having the b'ejesus run out of them. He'd make miniscule revisions to the electronics, or have them made, then listen to them, via headsets hooked to the jig, for comparison to units with standard specs. But upon close exam, with a scope (I suppose) every single one had certain audible peculiarities. Part of the charm I guess. Think about it. How often does one have the chance to listen to more than one Hammond at the same time???

Something else I've not seen anywhere about Laurens. He dressed, head to toe in brown. Shoes, socks, suit, Shirt? tie? etc. So said "Finney" .

Ah, the stories Mr Finn told about Mr. Hammond. Never caught the man in a lie.

Also, recently read that cx3 was modeled after the C3, not the B3.
Could this be why I'm not getting the ballsy sound I'd hoped for?
Currently using twin Barbetta 41c's with a SE pre amp. Seriously
considering replacing the works with the new XK1 and a MSpro145.
Before committing another $3k+ to the project, was wondering if any of
the many cx3 aficiandos out there might offer some insight on the
dilemma(?)
