Subject:Re: Found: A Tonewheel Hammond

Hey everyone.

Thanks for the replies. It does have 2x61 manuals, full pedalboard. None of the pics at the links suggested match. I unintentionally fibbed: I did own an M-3, and an L-100, and I should have disqualified them in the request for info. Also should have said at the onset it was not a spinet, and not an A-100. I apologise.

This pup is BIG, but not as big as the later Concord style... Nor is it as "high".
And it looks older, and it is tonewheel powered. The reason I recognized the sound was 'cause the roll & clatter sounded like the L-100 I forgot to mention.

So.... this is what we know:
It's not a spinet, it is 2x62, full pedal, It ahs lots'o tabs, and drawbars, 2 sets for each manual, and inverse pre-sets ala B-3. Rather big, built -in Leslie, definitely tone wheel.

Leslie switch has two side-by-side white-knobbed toggles in a small rectangular switch box (forgot that too) One controls F/S speeds, the other seems to allow choice of amps... (Really?) Yes, the tone quality was certainly something other than that of simply braking the Leslie. It seemed, at the very least, to engage a different set of speakers, but I'd swear it was a totally different amplification system.

I'm supposed to contact the guy at the end of the week, and make an offer. Something both affordable and fair, considering it's age, and no warranty of any sort. I'm kinda tapped out after the XK-3 purchase. In fact I've yet to recieve it. Due to arrive sometime this week. Thanks again all. Looking forward to your futher evaluation.

Absolutely right. The prices here (in Europe) are just... well...
******* :-)
You know what I mean. I got a nice L100 for 650 once, but that was a
lucky thing...
