Subject:Re: Bypassing rotary effect on VK-8M (was: VK-8M with real Leslie)

It doesn't make sense to me, unless they had offered a separate bypass
for the amp simulator, as well. What is the purpose of bypassing the
rotary effect on any clone? To hook it into a real Leslie. So what
would be the point of still having an amp sim running to colour the
sound? If you simply want to stop the rotary effect, you can just put
it on brake. The only advantage at all of the rotary bypass on the
VK-8M is that the "braked" sound will always have a consistent tone,
rather than the tone varying a bit depending on the position the
rotary has been stopped.
