When you turn on the CX-3 do you get some animated drawbars in the opening screens? If
you do, its version 2 (latest) software on an older keyboard. There was a transition point
where that was happening and you may have one. If its used, the previous owner might
have upgraded the software as well.

If you bought it from a dealer you might want to return it. Its doesn't make a big difference
in the way you play it but it could affect your resale down the road. They next buyer may
want the waterfall keyboard.

If you got a good deal in a private sale you might want to just keep it. Like I said, its
mostly an aesthetic thing. It does make for easier smears but as I recall the early CX-3 lip
is small compared to a piano keyboard anyway.
