Subject:Re: Clone Wheel Recommendation for Classic Rock

I don't see a 1 keyboard solution. Although I'm no longer laying out due to family issues (2 teenage daughters, single Dad), Here's what I used.

1. Organs/Etc - Nord Electro
2. Analog stuff - ION
3. Rompler - JV-1010

With the above set up, you're prolly still a lil shy on piano. That's what my 'Yammy CL series is for (Though not portable).

I've seen the Motif 6 used for under $1,000 on Craigs List. Also, Tony Monaco had a Motif 6 for sale about 2 weeks ago. Tony, you there?

You might consider the Hammond XK-1:

I think it will be selling for under $1500.00.

If you find you need additional sounds beyond the 8 extra voices, you
could use the XK-1 to control a Kurzweil PC2R:

Even if you add the Classic Keys ROM:

You would still be close to your budgeted amount.

Good Luck.
