The "hissing noise" happens on some patches, but not on others? What
happens if you store a non-hissy patch in one of the patches that
has the hissing problem?

You might also check the "leakage" parameter on the patches in
question. Leakage simulates a noisy tonewheel, so maybe that's what
you're hearing as a hiss. You might see if that parameter is cranked
up on the patches you're having problems with.

Also, just for sh*ts and giggles, you might try doing a factory
reset, as described in the owner's manual.
