Subject:CX-3 Dilemma

An issue has arisen for me with an appx 3 to 4 year old CX-3 that I
bought used not long ago. It has an unappealing hissing noise on some
of the patches and when I took it to a Korg authorized tech (two
actually) and what he told me was discouraging. In short, that my
problem is the "motherboard" and that Korg is in the prctice of not
manufacturing and/or making replacements available. Can anyone confirm
the veracity of this statement? While it would seem to be good for
Korg's business it certainly is not good for their customers. Does
anyone have any advice on how or even whether or not I should pursue a
remedy? I was considering buying a new CX-3 but am now reluctant as I
don't want to be in the same position again or support this kind of
business policy (if it is indeed their policy). Any similar experiences?
