Deepurple...I'll be happy to give you my 2 cents. After all, that's why the board is here.
CX-3: pros: Great vibrato, great keyboard feel, waterfall keys. It also has a great library of sounds. It sounds great with a Speakeasy preamp (with or without) and a Leslie. Great tweakability. cons: no 11-pin out and it does not support pedals.
VK-7: pros: Great keyboard feel. Good selection of sounds
11-pin out for Leslie connection. Supports pedals. They've also come way down in price. cons: no waterfall keys and C/V is "ok" but not, imo, as good as Korg.
I'm sure there are other varying degrees of opinion about instruments. Having owned both at different times in my Hammond quest I can give you more of an opinion if you like. Just send me a PM.
Dan.

We're sorry sir, but that extensive volume of information and opinion
is only available in the message archive section. Search the message
archives utilizing the search window at the top right of the message
site. Using the search terms korg cx3 or roland vk7 or both together
will locate a minimum of well over a thousand past message posts with
information about these instruments that might help your decision. Best
wishes, and the archives are always at your disposal.
