Subject:XK1 keyboard?

Does anyone know if the XK1 has the same keyboard as the XK3? I love the XK3's keyboard and sound, and I am thinking of ordering an XK1 sight unseen assuming the sound (minus the tube distortion) and the feel of the keyboard will be the same. Also, would it be a mistake to get one of the first ones out? Or, would it be better to wait until they have been out for a while?
