David, you're not alone. About 6 1/2 years ago I set a glass of iced
sweet tea on my Roland RD-300 and ended up knocking it over. Tea
spilled into the the controls and into the keys. Like you, some notes
wouldn't play at all, and others would play erratically. I set it
upside down overnight to drain the excess tea and the next morning, it
played just fine. I never did actually take it apart and clean it.
Still plays great even so.
