Subject:Re: Crate (lack of) Marketing Strategy?
Not sure what Crate is up to, but I had a similar experience this
summer. I wanted a Crate Limo, which is a 50-watt guitar/bass/PA amp
that can be run off an internal battery, but could not find one
anywhere. Musician's Friend kept moving out the availability date. I
even called Crate directly, but they would not sell me one either. It
appears that it had been discontinued, but no one at Crate seemed to
know that. I find them on Ebay from time to time, but the prices
aren't good enough to justify the risk.
Can someone explain to me the logic of this? Are they trying to run
themselves out of business? Weird!
BTW, I have a Roland KC500 that I bought about 6 years ago. Great amp -
makes a wonderful bass combo amp too.
