Bob, I'm 6'2", I like to sit high and sometimes stand when I'm
ripping
out those solos. The rack only raises the lower keyboard about 3".

Since I got the new stand and am able to put the keyboards exactly
where I want them I have no problems. My legs slide underneath the
rack
and the pedals are right where I need them. I used to use a QL623
and
could never quite get the keyboards right! The new QL641 is a great
stand. The upper level moves up and down, angles and goes backwards
and
forwards (took me 4 months to get it from Quiklok, I think they were
having distribution problems, but it was worth the wait!)

Thanks for the input, I'm really having fun with this rig now. Those
Doepfer controllers are so cool looking that I didn't want to encase
them with wood and make them look like what they're not. I got the
Idea
for using plexiglass from a rig I saw on the Doepfer website.
I love those V5's also (use the + for the upper manual) the
ballsiest
sound you can get. With the speakeasy on howler it sure does! No
overdrive needed.

Just turned 50 last week, I'm having more musical fun than I ever
did.
Just need a roadbox now - saving my pennies (there's always
something
else)
