As long as the competition can produce similar
quality, I'd rather give my business to them. If
Roland is going to surpass the VK-8M soon (the piece I
currently use...), I'll consider that. What I hope is
that Korg will soon replace the Triton Extreme with a
performance oriented 'board sonically similar to the
OASYS - with the CX3 engine on board. I suspect that
could happen soon as prices have been dramatically
slashed on the Triton EX line. That would simplify my
second tier to one keyboard, vs. a Triton EX 76
running the VK-8M.
If all of the above is incorrect, or too far into the
future, I could run NI B4 (my currently studio
clonewheel app.) within a Muse Receptor - using my B4D
for live control.
I suspect any of these scenarios would equal or
surpass the XM-2 system. We'll see what happens...
