I had the same questions about the rbIII in terms of sound and price.
I am not usually one for making a purchase without listening and hands
on experience. Based on the reviews from this group and lenghty
conversations with Steve Hayes I decided to go for it.
Bottom line:
The thing rocks.
I don't mind paying the big bucks for high quality stuff.
