I replaced a bunch of the caps in mine several years ago for the same
problem. I found some that had been leaking but had not damaged the circuit
board.

Hi,
I am the original owner of a vintage (20+ year) BX-3 that I hadn't
played for quite a while. I'm getting back into music now that the
kids are a little more independent. I noticed that I'm having some
problems with the BX-3, the 2-2/3' percussion isn't working, key
click is intermittent, and some of the presets are louder than
others.

While searching the web for help, I ran across this website:
http://robert.

weathergreen.com/bx3/troubleshooting/common_problems.ht
m
and wondered whether anyone out there may have had similar problems
and whether they were corrected by replacing the capacitors in the
organ? I'm a career EE and can handle the mechanical disassembly
and soldering, but I'm a little rusty at analog circuit debug.

Are there any other resources you might suggest regarding DIY
repairs on this instrument?

Thanks,
Lou
