Wj's got an excellent point. For starters you better keep up
religiously on your oiling, but in the end, it may be possible that
the original TWG in original position (upright and straight) may far
outlast on possible on its side. Mr Hammond was a clockmaker, and
probably knew what he was doing when he designed it... 50 years later
and how many TWG's going strong?
