There's something "out of tune" about the mechanics of normally
vertical tonewheels spinning on a horizontal shaft, turned on their
sides with the shaft vertical to add in the force of gravity. What's
done to compensate for that, to keep the wheels from wearing their
down-side centers against the shaft and going elliptical, or to keep
each tonewheel at a 90 degree angle to the shaft and its individual
pickup?
