Moe,
You are right. I should not have been belligerent.
Sorry about that. I am glad you raised the concern
regarding propagation of the original sound and
playing techniques of the Hammond.
In my case, I am old enough that I knew of the Hammond
sound in rock groups of the 60s and 70s. It wasn't
until recently that I finally got to doing something
about learning keyboards including piano and organ, to
try and get something like that sound. Realizing that
I could not afford a B-3, I looked into an alternative
that would be good for learning and playing at this
point.
But I am so far down on the learning curve, that
playing a clone is not really a hinderance to me at
this point. I guess I am impressed by the player and
their techniques more than the equipment. If there is
something slowly being lost as fewer and fewer B-3's
are played, I guess I will learn more about that as I
go.
