Subject:B3 Player Magazine Issue 4 is ONLINE

Folks,



This is my one and only announcement regarding the new Issue 004 of B4
Player Magazine, so feel free to delete it if not interested.



Issue 004 the August / September issue of B3 Player contains the following:





FEATURE ARTICLE



We feature Tommy Young from Dallas Texas. He has played on numerous jazz,
rock and gospel albums. Tommy has a CD out called "Keeper of the B" where he
shows his licks and bares his soul. Included is a transcription of "So
What?" by Tommy which shows off not only his Hammond skills but also his
writing skills.



JAZZ CORNER



We have a new contributing editor, Brian Hamby. For his first article, he
takes us through the first 48 measures of Jimmy Smith's "The Sermon".



ORGAN TECHNIQUES



Brian Hamby takes a look at the organ sputter technique. Starting with the
very basics all the way up to the sputters in "The Sermon".



ROCK CORNER



We transcribe the organ part (played by Dick Sims) of one of the best loved
of all of Eric Clapton's ballads, "Wonderful Tonight".



ORGAN BASSMENT



Scott Hawthorn finally changes from the key of F and looks at some Amazing
"Grace Notes" in the key of G.



TECH CORNER



Lonnie Smith discusses restoring Leslie 122 and 147 amps back to their
original condition.



VINTAGE CORNER



We talk to Valhalla Woodworking about their venture into reproducing wood
parts for Hammond organs and Leslies. In addition, we speak to them about
their Vintage Leslie Cabinet reproductions.



NEWS



We report on Summer NAMM 2006 that was held in Austin, Texas.
