Walt,
I bought something last year just with hauling my gear in mind. Its the
Pontiac version of the Toyota Matrix. Basically its a Toyota Corolla wagon,
only called the Matrix. A Toyota factory makes the car in California and at the
end of the line, it becomes wither a Toyota Matrix or Pontiac Vibe. I got
the Vibe because of the employee pricing last year but it's the same car.

Its got fold down seats, plenty of room to load things, easy access. All my
gear fits in it and it realistically gets 26 mph city and 30+ on the
highway. First time I ever bought a car with my gear in mind!
