Hi,
That has nothing to do with the DX-7 battery. It's a standard Lithium battery, and CANNOT be charged -- it might explode! Some DX-7's draw very little backup power, and if they're used a lot the battery can really last a long time.
A battery is not necessarily anything like a capacitor, other than that it stores energy. So does a flywheel.
