I've replaced mine. Remove a couple of screws, slide the amp out a few
inches to get access to the battery. Pop the old one out and the new
one in, put the screws back in and you are good to go. Less than 5
minutes. It is a CR2032, The service manual says use Sony or Hitachi
Maxell. I think I bought a Duracell. The battery in the XK-3 looks a
little harder to get to, but its time is coming.
