Hey Moe,

If you know the Hammonds, I'd say: play in manual mode (no preset) by hitting the black B key. You have a Left/Mono out - at the rear. That's the one you need to use.

On the upper left side there are three black rotary knobs: volume (go easy on that, because too much output can lead to unwanted distortion), Tone (keep it in the center - for now), Overdrive: a warm, nice tube overdrive sets in from about 2 o'clock position, gvie the XK-3 a few minutes to warm up.

The left set of 9 drawbars is all yours. The built-in leslie consist of three buttons on the very left side.

Any more questions: please don't hesitate asking. :)

Good luck!!!
Christian

Hi all,

I'm playing a gig this weekend where the rig is being provided, and
the organ is an XK-3. I only have about 20 minutes of experience on
one, and had a couple questions:

1. What is the best way to get it into the PA? I'll probably be
playing thru a couple mismatched Peavey amps, and the PA will probably
be mono. I have a nice stereo Radius direct box that I could take, but
I will probably need one side of it for a piano kbd.

2. Err, anything else I need to know about the organ? I'll be sitting
in on a new rig with a band I've never played with before, playing
mostly unfamiliar material...
