Hi

It's common practice for musical instrument makers to obscure
differences between models and to slowly dole out new features that
should have been included on earlier models (Roland anyone), but would
have eliminated the need for the newest, best, most advanced, higher
sample rate, more bit depth keyboard on planet earth! Oh, and it
raises the price by 25%.

I can't locate so I haven't played an XK-3 or XK-1 but if Hammond won't
tell us exactly what the differences are I'm not buying. We should be
told if the Leslie sims. are absolutely identical or different, and in
exactly what way. What the hell is V.A.S.E. 1, 2, 3, etc, how does it
differ from common sampling, why is it superior, how about some
details. Every company has some arcane acronym for something they won't
explain to us, and becomes as meaningless as "deluxe" or Improved".
If I gotta pay for it, I wanna know how it works!
