Subject:Re: I ALSO have received my Speakeasy mk III
These are all the key elements needed for that classic Hammond tone, and every single wanna-be leslie has something missing (or a couple somethings). What really really makes this stand head and shoulders above everything else is that tube amp. It has that mean rhino grunt that the other guys don't have, and holy crap, volume is not lacking!
What REALLY gets me about this box is that even though it sits much lower than my Bulldog (which is shorter than a 122), and my horn is about ass level, I don't have any problem hearing it! (My Bulldog's horn is about shoulder height.) The guys in the band are digging the heck out of it too.
I had a padded cover made by LeCover for this thing too!

Great comments Bob. Let me second your opinion.*Snip*
Thanks Eric. I think one of the things I forgot to mention is that it's
one unit that does it all without the, "Hey if ya tweak this and that it gets
even closer to a Leslie sound." Or my real favorite, "Sounds pretty close
(After a weekend spent tweaking it), but ya need two of 'em if your gonna play in a
band." And let's not forget, "Hey do you run your bottom rotor sim into the
PA or lug along another amp?" I know it sounds like I'm bashing but lets face
it, they're Leslie clones. Ones got a real rotor, another has "a" tube. I think
I'll go with the full tube amp, real rotor, and wooden cabinet.
Hmmm...Somebody say no-brainer? ORF Bob
