However, I still had a time getting it up the stairs. Anyway, I plugged
everything in and started playing. All I can say is....OH...MY...GOD!
this thing is AWESOME!!!! You're nuts if you don't like how it sounds.
With all the parameters at your fingertips, you CAN make this sound just
like a leslie. To my ears anyway, it sounds just as good as the 122 I
have at the church. So there ya go, if you can get a real leslie or
don't have room for one (the Pro-145 just barely fits into my setup) get
a Pro-145, you'll be just as satisfied. If you don't like it, like
Walter said, you're not setting it up right. I'm still fiddling with the
knobs getting it just right.
The trimpots to change the rotating parameters are not lined up with the
holes but I was able to change them with a little work. Also I opened up
the back just to take a peek inside. I hope I never have to work on this
thing because it takes forever to get those 19 screws out and back in,
but still worth a peek inside. Anyway, I opened her up, and to my
surprise, the horn had a deflector on it. I did buy this New B-Stock,
but either MS is putting these on in the factory or someone has owned
this before me. I noticed some dust had collected inside as well. All in
all though, everything looked real good. I took some pics of the insides
for those who don't own one and are interested in buying one. I'll post
them later.
I'm very happy with the Pro-145, no matter what the critics say, this
thing IS THE BOMB!
