Let's be accurate. From what I understand, new Hammond
products (portables, modules, organs) are made in
Japan at the Suzuki factory. Only the Leslie Speakers
are still made here in the U.S. Hammond is owned by
Suzuki. I'm sure they are very proud of having the
"Hammond" name, but you should be assured that Hammond
is a Japanese company, just like Yamaha, Roland, Casio
and others.

Kurzweil is owned by Young Chang as they purchased the
company many years ago. Some of the Kurzweil products
are now made in South Korea, from what I understand.

Putting the name "Hammond" on the Suzuki products that
are today's "replacements" for the older vintage
Hammonds is the right of Suzuki since they own the
name. However, IMHO, don't confuse the rich history of
Hammond products from the Laurens Hammond era with
what is being manufactured today by Suzuki. Hammond is
part of the Suzuki conglomerate. Check this out:
