It actually is the best solution possible for your desired result. Hope it works out. I can't remember if the leslie sim could be applied to anything other than the organ, but I believe it was relegated to organ only.

When the VR760 arrives, I planned to set it up with the SRX07
Ultimate Keys expansion board. That one has some nice synth pads and
leads, after a long list of either a little (or a lot) of everything
that had keys on it 'back in the day.' It's overloaded with organ
patches, many too 'out there' to use, don't know if this keyboard's
rotary effect could work to help out a few. Next, adding the new
SRX12 Electric Piano expansion board should cover these, as SRX07 is
somewhat short on realistic not-too-effected EP examples for me. If
the organ section and rotary sim turn out to be as good as the
VK8/VK8M, maybe better(?), this will make the keyboard, for me, the
most like a Fantom with VK8M which was my intention. I've used the
older Fantom with SRX07 and SRX03 plus the VK8M midi'ed into a 3-
channel performance for upper, lower, pedals.. the closest I've come
to an ideal for me keyboard. Not carrying the module and midi cables
and saving this setup time w/wall wart and velcro-to-velcro on top, I
hope will be a good single keyboard outcome. Wj
