Subject:Thinking about a different Leslie - Suggestions?

Hi everybody,
I'm almost new here, so I hope that I'm not saying
something old or out of topic.

I'm thinking about building an amplified "rotating"
loudspeaker. It should work like a leslie but without
rotating parts.
Rotation is achieved through calculations and
"vectorial" use of some loudspeakers.
What you would have is something like a portable
guitar amplifier, but with different speaker
configuration and some logic and signal processing
inside it.
It can be integrated with a VST part for vintage gears
emulation and effects.

Could this be something interesting?
Is it worth it going on with development?
